Kroner Til Konge, premier album du groupe, s'offre avec une pochette en noir et blanc minimaliste et des titres qui évoquent le satanisme. Pour l'instant rien d'anormal. Mais, entre la batterie furieuse qui change de tempo, la basse toujours présente qui donne un côté irréel et le chant très expressif, il m'a aspiré dans sa magie noire. Favorite track: Jesu Blod.

LEGENDARY NORWEGIAN BLACK METALLERS DODHEIMSGARD'S DEBUT ALBUM KRONET TIL KONGE

To fans of black metal, Dødheimsgard need no introduction, being as they are one of the great purveyors of the Norwegian Black Metal creative evolution. The band was formed in 1994 by Aldrahn (Thorns, The Deathtrip) and Vicotnik (Ved Buens Ende). The early incarnation was that of a raw and at times melodic black metal band, with their debut album also featuring Darkthrone’s Fenriz on bass.

Over time Dødheimsgard became known as one of the premier avant-garde black metal acts after a stylistic shift away from their more old-school origins, as displayed on the band’s mighty 2015 album, A Umbra Omega

Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass). Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended. Rabbit

Tout est une question de perspective. En regardant la pochette d'Algleymi, on se dira : "c'est un constat d'échec de l'humanité face aux puissances cosmiques". Mais le gigantisme de cette silhouette est un signe que Misþyrming veut plutôt s'emparer de cette puissance et le black metal le confirmera très vite. Il est plus maîtrisé, massif et épique. Si le chant est déjà impressionnant, dégageant plus de haine, les guitares sont de leur côté absolument monumentales. Un chef-d'œuvre du genre ! Jordan Vauvert
