Plaguewielder was the name of Darkthrone’s ninth album & it was originally released in 2001. The album contained the trademark Darkthrone riffing in the black metal style, plus fast & mid-tempo tracks mixed with punk & heavy metal influences from the 80’s & beyond, plus a production which brought an extra clarity to the overall execution.

This deluxe edition includes a bonus commentary with Fenriz & Nocturno reflecting on the album's tracks and their inspirations at the time of writing the material. Also features new cover artwork by Zbigniew M. Bielak.

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu

Wolves in the Throne Room a toujours eu une façon singulière de nous faire voir les choses sous un autre angle bien plus grand. Thrice Woven part en des temps immémoriaux dans laquelle la Nature est exaltée ("The Old Ones are With Us"), les mythes — nordiques ? — célébrés (qui d'autre que Anna von Hausswolff et sa voix magnifique pour faire ça ?) avec un black metal rapide qui s'inspire de la vague finlandaise.
