A COLLECTION OF ANATHEMA’S BEST PEACEVILLE LABEL MATERIAL

The 'Resonance 1 & 2' collection displays Anathema’s finest moments from their Peaceville days, divided into an ambient selection, and also their heavier tracks, showcasing the band’s ability to create memorable, diverse and intense atmospheric rock music and metal. Presented in a digipack, the double album contains tracks from Anathema’s first four albums & EPs, as well as rarities and flawless covers of Pink Floyd classic tracks.

With such a huge wealth of material existing in shades of light and dark, brutal and fragile, a two-part retrospective was the only way to do Anathema's musical career the justice it deserves.

The band recently embarked upon a series of European shows, titled the ‘Resonance tour’, playing a selection of classic songs from the band’s various era’s, including songs contained on this release. The shows also notably featured guest appearances from core members of Anathema’s early incarnation; namely bassist Duncan Paterson and original vocalist Darren White.

Anathema began their musical career in Liverpool. They signed to Peaceville Records in early 1992 and released four albums and two EP's before moving on to a more progressive and atmospheric style as is evident on the band’s recent works on the Kscope label.
