2013 EP FROM THE MASTERS OF UK DOOM METAL

My Dying Bride have been the leading force in the death/doom metal genre since their inception in the early 1990’s and have gone on to forge a legacy of greatness in the field over the past 2 decades, since 1992’s debut release, ‘As The Flower Withers’. 2012 saw the release of undoubtedly one the band’s finest and most epic works of late, ‘A Map of All Our Failures’; capturing the imaginations of metal fans and doom lovers alike with their foreboding journeys through love and death, religion and folklore. Now the Yorkshire titans return with their latest work, ‘The Manuscript’.

‘The Manuscript’ contains four new and exclusive songs; a dark voyage spanning over 27 minutes of supreme doom. The atmospherics have been stripped back slightly to focus on a more sparse yet hard-hitting metallic opus, yet also still including additional passages of violin and acoustic guitar as the tales unfold, all narrated with Aaron Stainthorpe’s ferocious vocal delivery, plus more soothing mournful tones. ‘The Manuscript’ was recorded and mixed at Futureworks Studios in Manchester, UK with long time producer, Mags.
