NorthwoodsBrewer502 If amebix had made an album after monolith... continuing on the path they were on , I think it might have sounded similar to this.

I've been a fan of darkthrone for at least 20 years and I have to say this is the first album in many years that I have binge listened to on repeat. Many of the records had great songs... some albums I preferred more than others... but this one is a banger front to back.

Sir Talksalot A winning formula of classic 'Frost vibes but groovy like Black Sabbath. Unhurried, deliberate riffs, notes bending and buckling under the weight of decades of misanthropy, aged like a fine Islay whisky — one that tastes like a house burned down. But we are sometimes also ambushed by chorus- or tremolo-drenched riffs, reminiscent of '80s postpunk and '90s grunge. The album sounds lively like a jam session, yet carefully planned. The sound of two old friends having a blast. Favorite track: The Heavy Hand.

warlust93 Darkthrone yet again deliver another banger of an album, continuing on the same kind of sound they established on Arctic Thunder while bringing the songwriting to the next level.
This album, in my opinion, is their strongest, most consistent work since "The Cult is Alive" (to me, even surpassing that album).
I would highly recommend this album to anyone familiar with Darkthrone and their work, In my opinion, this is the best album of their later era. Favorite track: The Bird People Of Nordland.

blackenedhalo The album does not reach the heights of Eternal Hails but it is definitely much better than Astral Fortress, which was a bit dull. It Beckons Us All has a better songwriting and feels much more fresh. Though, there is one dull song called The Heavy Hand which feels like a lefttover from Astral Fortress. As expected, this album is a rifforama once again . Eon 3 is better than 2 and it searches dark corners of old school death metal riffing. A great 85%. Favorite track: The Lone Pines Of The Lost Planet.
